[IG] 16 - Bank Robbery Rules

Use this thread to post any sensible questions, comments, suggestions or ideas about this rule. We will endeavour to clarify anything which you may be uncertain about.


16. Bank robberies require admin approval and supervision.
    In order to keep a good balance between fun and confusion, bank robberies will need both admin consent and the admin to watch the roleplay. This way all successful bank robberies/hostages can go through just fine and rewards can be handed out to the successful ones with ease.

    There is no roof access to any bank inside of Los Santos.

    Rules for robbing a bank:
    • There must be at least 30 PD and/or SD online and on duty.
    • You need to inform the admin exactly how and what you plan on doing for the bank robbery. This includes the weapons and tactics your group have planned out and how long it could possibly take.
    • As soon as you pull a gun out silent alarms are to go off. It is up to you and/or the admin to PM any of the officers online informing them of a bank robbery.

The bank in Fort Carson has been removed a couple of weeks ago.

I personally think that Bank Robberies need to be considered less important. I mean, a Bank Robbery means a Code 0, Chaos, sirens, lights, heavy weapons(!!!), SWAT/TRU, but we need to calm down a bit. Loosening down the rules (depending on the plan, amount of robbers etc) would be better instead of the normal 4-6 robbers, AKs, 40 Cops, Helicopters, Snipers, Code 0s and all.

It's in Palomino now, and yes roof access is available within that interior, although as soon as a helicopter even goes close to the roof an alarm would be triggered obviously.

Indeed, last time when my colleagues and me robbed the bank, we faced alot of cops making us unable to escape, in real life, a robbery would take five minutes, even less.
For example the North Hollywood shootout, they robbed 303,000$ in around eight minutes due to a small delay, but after it they had a shootout of around 44, in fact they could escape easily.
Ingame it is abit of unrealistic, from the point of view of a robber, because all the roleplay you do inside takes you around 20 minutes and when you look outside, you see around fifty cruisers, SWAT, helicopters and honestly, you already see the /do of a **SNAKE CAM**, making you unable to escape in anyway, only if you had a dodo on the roof, but the roof is unavailable.

P.S; A bank robbery is just a small DM event, where there's no proper RP but only bullets flying over your head.

The only way I can see a bank robbery being pulled off with this is that the robbers have their own militia that comes in with bigass trucks and keeps SWAT occupied while the robbers escape with a bike AND even then they'd need a couple of armed sultans shooting the police cruisers that YOU KNOW will follow the bike. Robbing the bank is therefore extremely stressfull. :lol:

Robbing a bank is impossible.
By the time you do all your role-play, you've got the whole Department outside, unable to escape or do anything.
If there would be a way to blow up a wall and get tp'd outside, would be great.

I like what Dec did. I think bank robberies would work out fine if the thieves would put a bit more of a tatical plan. :)

With these current rules and the way a bank robbery must be RP'd, it's pretty much not possible to pull it off. Period.

True, there should just be a rule " Bank robberies are not allowed" and forget about the past when it was. It is humanely impossible with 30 PD's on, the only way I can see it happen is if the robbers outnumber the cops or are like 20?? And even then it wouldn't be worth it to even try. They'll get shot no matter what exit they use.
