Sid Meier's Civilization

Post by slp » Fri Apr 19, 2019 2:58 pm

Sid Meier's Cvilization probably needs no introduction. It is one of the most well-known strategy games.

Although not one of the game franchises I've spent the most time on, I've still clocked over 100 hours in most of their titles, and so wanted to hear everyone else about their opinion on these great strategy games.

What is your favourite installment of the franchise, and what Civilization is the best? Or maybe you don't like the franchise, and why is that?

For me, Civilization V easily takes the crown, where I always love playing Harun al-Rashid and his Arabian Civilization, as well as Wu Zetian and her Chinese Civilization.

That being said, Civilization VI and its expansions are warming up to me (huehue, warming up when the latest expansion was about climate change) and I really like being both Qin Shi Huang and his Chinese as well as Kupe and the unique Māori.
In the distant future.
In a land abandoned by man.
Machines wage a continuous war.
Unaware of the futility of their actions.
