Baryshev Mafiya is an organized crime group consisting of people from Russia, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Caucasus region. The organization has its base in Rodeo, where it has slowly been making plays into the business-scene. The acquisition of legal fronts allows for an honest and steady cash-flow, which has been key to the OPG's success. Today, the organization is engaged in both blue and white-collar crime and has managed to set up small but efficient drug and weapon rackets.
In the middle of 2019, members of Djavolskij Klan understood that it was time to change and evolve into something larger and stringer in order to accommodate their ambitions. During that period, Evgeny Krasnov a leading figure of the Klan stepped up and created a code of conduct, a set of non-written rules for the members for them to abide by.
The organization's growth continued and attracted capable individuals from all walks of life. It also attracted seasoned figures within the Russian criminal underworld in Los Santos, the reason for which is believed to be the collapse of the Russian criminal enterprise Little Moscow. It's assumed that some of the players who were once operational on the East side moved over to Djavolski Klan to find a new home.
As time went on and as members of the organization spread their name across town and expanded their businesses, the need for proper structure presented itself. Being only Russian players left and having good standing within the Russian community of Los Santos, the human resource never came short. The structural shortcomings of the organization were further remedied by Zviad Kvaratskhelia and Vladislav Dobrynin. Previously, during the time of Krasnaya Mafiya, the duo had been running a criminal operation out of Ocean Docks, Los Santos's largest port.
In late autumn, at a sit-down between the four, a plan of action was decided. The structure was introduced and Evgeny Krasnov was appointed as a boss, with Konstantin Privalov as the underboss. With his firm grip on the streets, Zviad shouldered much of the heavy lifting in solidifying his new crew, while Vladislav affirmed his role as the organization's chief the counselor and financial trickster.
During the sit-down, a decision was reached on the distribution of power within the organization. Instead of being confined to in Rodeo and the western parts of town, two establishments in Saints Boulevard were acquired. Zviad and his people migrated to the east and created their own crime group known as 'St. Boulevard Gang'. Djavolskij Klan, under the leadership of Kazimir Sozonov and Artyom Ivanov, was to remain and continue to expand from the organization's original base.
This process defined the transition into the contemporary Krasnovskaya OPG.
Today, the two crews work together for the common good of their enterprise, however, there are distinct differences between the two. Because each crew has its own agenda and desire they can be looked upon as separate independent crime groups, bound together by a marriage of convenience.
After Zviad Kvaratskhelia and Vladislav Dobrynin left the criminal group, Konstantin Privalov appointed Kirill Barjukov as his right-hand man to hold and oversee the group. After Barjukov raises to power, the police began to turn their attention to the group. They were starting to become known for several acts of violence and robberies. It is also rumored that they were involved in big-time Heroin and Cocaine trade.
It becomes a difficult time for Privalov and Barjukov's group, and they decide to withdraw from illegal activities in order to get out of the police sight. Meanwhile, Barjukov pays a visit to Russia, and he is mysteriously shot in the middle of the night on his way home.
Upon hearing this news, Privalov receives a message from an unknown number "The tables have turned against you", he asks Levon Baryshev, his old friend who led the criminal operation in Russia, to come to Los Santos to not meet Kirill's fate.
After Baryshev's arrival, he and Privalov set up a new criminal group of some of the old members. To make sure they weren't turned over to the police, Levon ordered that those who did not want to be part of this group be found and shot.
Shortly after the establishment of the new criminal group called Privalovskaya Bratva, they became more notorious in the Los Santos criminal underworld after the beginning acts of violence.
Nicholas Kuznetsov was the active one on the street, a shot caller, he was Levon's most trusted guy in the brigade. After the dices were thrown and cards revealed, Nicholas' greed got himself clipped. Nicholas attempted to make a run with Baryshev's money and dope, possibly thinking of a coup. A tough decision for any common man, but Levon opens up a contract for Kuznetsov's head, which is quickly picked up and marked as solved by an outlaw motorcycle gang. Nicholas was gunned down in the middle of the night by three masked men, just outside of his residential complex. Nicholas' wife commits suicide after his death. It is not known whether she committed suicide out of love or for the fear of being caught in the middle of the mob vendetta. Police find Nicholas' body filled with 7.62x39mm, high caliber bullets, and shells. An open casket was not an option at this point, it was overdone, the local police department and the FBI marked this as a crime with passion. One day prior, another body was found shot dead and floating in the nearby oasis. After the autopsy, and the latest events, a link was found between the two victims and after running the DNA test, they were confirmed to be brothers, it was David, the youngest sibling in the Kuznetsov family.
Last photo of Konstantin Privalov and Levon Baryshev seen side by side.
The investigations made Privalov get off-grid, he is withdrawn in the shadows. Not many know what has happened with the mob boss and Baryshev's reign is at hand. The criminal organization is still deeply connected with other crews in the USA and deep in the narco-trafficking, arms trading, prostitution, and racketeering trade.
Eastern Europe in Los Santos: Is there even going to be an end?
by: Christopher Shufutinski, expert and author on organized crime in Eastern Europe
It was well-known that during the years of 2018-2020 there was a sort of hidden criminal organization which was running the show on the East side of the town. However, after events from the last year, it was assumed that members of the illicit crime group are vanished, either in jail or in the ground. Nevertheless, the recent events I've stumbled upon make me assume that an organization of similar structure is operational.
On October 10 of this year, a body of Russian male, around 25 - 30 years old was found floating around the coast of Santa Maria. An autopsy found bullets of 9x21mm Gyurza, found in Russian army pistols. Man himself was shot three times, two times in the chest and once, probably as insurance in the head.
That event coincides with the high Russian activity in Rodeo, and recently in the East part of the city. However, all of these findings could've been called unreasonable but according to Police Department after the crackdown on the two African-American gangs, they managed to seized around ten Russian rifles, fifteen Vektor pistols and around twenty to thirty ounces of low quality heroin and ketamine. The drugs if researched, probably will trace back to Russia or another Eastern European country, and still without that these findings are alarming as they link and hint to the existence of the Russian Crime Group.
