Los Zetas in San Andreas? By Hernando Reya | January 4, 2018

Image Los Zetas Vieja Escuela
. "Zetas Vieja Escuela" (Old School Zetas) are a faction of the once powerful Mexican cartel "Los Zetas", at one time the Zetas were known globally as the most violent and possibly the biggest cartel in Mexico. Many believe the Zetas are dead, but in reality the group has splintered into many factions the main ones being the Vieja Escuela, Bravo Group and Noreste. In August of 2012, Miguel Treviño Morales had successfully overthrown long time Zetas leader Heriberto Lazcano Lazcano. A long process, Treviño Morales had started to overthrow Lazcano in 2010 when Morales took control of the Zeta's assets. Treviño Morales was second in command under Lazcano for many years, this allowed him to build the loyalty and respect of many Zetas especially since Lazcano wanted to take the cartel into a new less-violent direction and many members did not support that idea. With a new Mexican administration coming in under Enrique Peña Nieto, Lazcano wanted to keep the group under the radar and add more stability within it's ranks. Los Zetas are historically an unstable organized crime group due to the amounts of violence it has.

Due to the two opposing ideologies within the leadership distrust amongst the organization grew and soon after Heriberto Lazcano Lazcano was killed at the hands of the Mexican authorities. With two opposing belief systems in the Zetas and with Lazcano gone the Zetas fell apart fracturing into many different small factions. The main difference however was those who aligned themselves with Treviño Morales and his family and those who opposed Treviño Morales. The group supporting Treviño Morales became known as the Cartel Noreste, the ones opposing him became Zetas Vieja Escuela the Old School Zetas and Zetas Bravo Group. The two sides have been in a heated war ever since with neither side looking to be able to defeat the other one. The Zetas Vieja Escuela has rekindled a alliance with the Gulf Cartel, now working once again as muscle for the group. The Zetas and Gulf Cartel at one time had the most deadly rivalry Mexico and even nowadays enemy factions of the Cartel Noreste and Gulf Cartel kill each other everyday. It was not always like this however, the Zetas were originally a enforcer group for the Gulf Cartel. Predominantly made up of former Mexican military members. Their military training and unbridled ferocity changed the war cartels fight, with the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) describing them as perhaps “the most technologically advanced, sophisticated and violent of these paramilitary enforcement groups.” Osiel Cárdenas Guillén took control of the Gulf Cartel in 1999, Cárdenas sought out Arturo Guzman Decena aka Z-1 a retired Army lieutenant who lured more than 30 members of the Mexican Army to create Los Zetas. Unlike other cartels, the Zetas did not buy their alliances so much as they'd terrorize their enemies. They tortured rivals, filmed executions , and murdered thousands. The Zetas preferred to take military-style control of a territory, holding it through sheer force and exploiting its criminal opportunities. Although their military training was weakened over time, their brutality was not. Rival cartels struggling against the Zetas began to adapt by adopting some of their tactics, further ramping up the violence in the country. Eventually the Zetas began to outnumber the Gulf Cartel in numbers, money and terrority, many believe that the Gulf Cartel was worried about the supremacy of Los Zetas, the cartel felt threatened by its own enforcers and decided to go to war before things got to bad. But the reason for the split is clouded in mystery. The Zetas launched an offensive that would see them expand throughout Mexico and Guatemala. They employed a new model of organized crime, based on violently seizing and holding territory, using fear rather than corruption as their first resort.
Image LOS TRAFICANTES
Los Traficantes are enforcer wing for the Zetas Vieja Escuela based in Los Santos but with connections across Latin and South America. The orginal group was formed through a street gang leader and a Ganton local the crew was founded on the premise of making large amounts of cash whilst avoiding the prison time and early death that gang life often brings. Currently the group is one of the largest trafficking groups in Los Santos earning it the nickname "Los Traficantes". Specializing in drug trafficking and avoiding the police "Los Traficantes" have experienced little push back from police compared to larger organizations such as the Serbian Mob, the Russians and La Cosa Nostra. Though the current crew is new the groups history dates back a very long time. Trace back several decades and you will find a Colombian cartel cell known as the Caballero Organization. The group was founded by two boys Horacio Caballero and Camilo Caballero who were both born in Crystal Gardens Idlewood. The boys mother was the sister of Colombian drug trafficking and mid level cartel member Hernan Caballero. She had fled Colombia with plans on getting a better life and avoiding her boys being swept up in the drug trade. Both Hernan and Camilo became involved in the Brown Pride Curbside Locos street gang. But after Camilo was shot twice in a drive by the two brothers made a pack that they would eventually elevate their game and move out of the streets. After the tragic death of their mother in a accidental gang shooting, the brothers made contact to their Uncle about shipping large amounts of cocaine through Colombia to Los Santos. This created a group the brothers referred to as the Caballero Drug Trafficking Organization. The brothers used their connections in Brown Pride to recruit loyal teenagers who would be ready to live a double life as a gangbanger on the outside and a Colombian Cartel affiliate on the in. Recruiting members like convicted murderer Victor Almendarez or now dead Pablo Parades. Building connections with their Uncle and the Cartel the two brothers became rich. This recently influx of wealth cost the group dearly though. The original gang the brothers were apart of found out about this betrayal behind their backs. In response they murdered Camilo and Pablo. Horacio was allegedly on a list of those to be killed as well but he was killed by a different group before being killed by Brown Pride. Victor Almendarez was convicted of murder and eventually became a affiliate of the powerful Mexican Mafia. Almendarez didn't forget the Caballero Organization hoerver, he told his son Ricardo Almendarez the legend of the group and Ricardo built up "Los Traficantes" in admiration of his fathers former crew. Ricardo Almendarez outdid anything his father could of dreamed of however, Almendarez created a powerful organization able to hold it's own in Los Santos without reliance on southern organizations. Ricardo Almendarez dissapeared after a power struggle within "Los Traficantes" and it is unsure if Almendarez still leads or if a new leader is in place. The little known organization as recently aligned itself with Los Zetas in a attempt to further themselves in the trafficking world.

There's a strong rumor regarding the new leadership for Los Zetas; Traficante. A dangerous ex maravillan affliate, nicknamed Laresca is now known to be leading the organized crime group along with his long term business partner, Carmelo Caballero.

RISE IN ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION COINCIDES WITH RISE IN CRIME
By Douglas Reynolds

Image

Over the past couple of years Los Santos has seen a heavy spike in Central American and South American immigrants both legal and illegal. These immigrants come to Los Santos for the idea of a better life or to escape something back home. The high majority of these immigrants are Colombians, Seville in particular has seen a massive spike in Colombians. Statistically in 2010 Seville was 40% African American, 30% Hispanic, 15% Caucasian, 13% Asian and 2% Other. Today the numbers look more like this, 30% African-American, 50% Hispanic, 10% Caucasian, 8% Asian, 2% Other. Of this 20% spike in Hispanic people around Seville 45% of them are Colombian.

In the past only East coast cities such as New York or Miami saw much Colombian immigration but with established communities in Los Santos the amount of Latin-American's is only going to sky rocket.

Some citizens are very concerend about these new Colombian immigrants however. Colombia is the number one producer in cocaine across the world and many feel this new surge in Colombians could lead to the cocaine epidemic expanding further. Statistically they may not be wrong however, cocaine and other drugs created in Colombia are on the rise and drug arrests of Hispanics in Seville is at a all time high.

Recently police apprehended two Colombian immigrants suspected of trafficking large quantities of drugs across Los Santos. Only one was charged but he was found to have a hand gun, a ounce of heroin and 15 thousand dollars cash.

MEXICAN POLICE DISCOVER LOS ZETAS HUMAN INCINERATION CAMP
by Cartel Chronicles 8, Jan 2018
.
CIUDAD MANTE, Tamaulipas — Authorities in this Mexican state bordering Texas have found a cartel killing field where it is believed that gunmen murdered and incinerated their victims. The killing field was recently discovered in the city of Mante in the southwestern part of the state. Breitbart Texas sources believe the cartel responsible is Los Zetas. The cartel is broken into two warring factions: Old School Zetas (Vieja Escuela) and Cartel of the North (CDN or Cartel Del Noreste). Our sources believe it is more likely that Old School Zetas is the faction of Los Zetas responsible, due to the group’s recent movements in the area.

While Tamaulipas state authorities have remained officially silent on the case, confidential law enforcement sources confirmed the discovery to Breitbart Texas. The killing field was discovered after an anonymous caller warned authorities about the existence of a place where human bodies were being incinerated.

Law enforcement officials moved to the area and confirmed the discovery, prompting a large deployment by military forces and investigators with the Tamaulipas Attorney General’s Office. At the killing field, authorities found two 55-gallon drums as well as another container full of what authorities believe to be human ashes. Authorities also discovered various containers of diesel.

Post by VaudeVillian » Wed Jan 11, 2017 5:30 pm

We're potraying a realistic Drug Trafficking Organization. Once you get involved with illegal activities in the faction you automatically grant us Character-Kill permission. If you have any general enquires or complaints, please contact the leadership of the faction: Fractilla or Vaudevillian

The rules regarding the faction is the basics, and if there's any more information needed regarding the basic rules, feel free to send Fractilla a private message regarding it.

VaudeVillian wrote:I just wanted to clear this up because occasionally I get a private message on here or on skype about how the first 10 or so pages look more like gang role-play than a Trafficking Organization. So basically this faction started from nothing just Horacio Caballero and his brother Camilo. They were two young kids who grew up as gang bangers but under influence from their Uncle became affiliated into the Colombian Trafficking life. So that's why some of our screenshots early on just look like gang roleplay. Also we do allow factions we plug to post on here, so they may post some gang rp occasionally also.

Thanks,
Vaude
