San Andreas Penal Code 2011

Preface
Attempt - With the exception of crimes that have a specified separate charge for attempt, I.E. murder, any time a person attempts to commit a crime, they are to be charged with the crime they are attempting and punished under the guidelines of the crime they attempted.

Bail - Bail is available for most crimes with the exception of violent crimes and crimes involving intoxication or influence of a controlled substance. A fee is paid in exchange for an amount of time off a person's sentence. Bail must be paid in full for all charges and cannot be done individually. If one of the crimes charged does not have a fixed bail amount, the person may not bail out on any other charges.

Crimes against a person - In order for a person to be arrested for a misdemeanor personal crime or crime against private property with the exception of domestic assault crimes and crimes against children, the victim must choose to press charges against the suspect. If the victim does not press charges, the suspect is to be turned loose. However, if the crime was committed in a public area or in the presence of others, the suspect can be arrested for disturbing the peace. If the crime is a felony, they are charged without victim consent.

(( Finally, Evading is a LSP-related crime. Well done Jerry.

Although, if you ask me, 11 hours for murder of a gov employee seems a bit too much. Sure people will be afraid of getting caught, but then again, they'll just use any way possible to avoid getting imprisoned. From powergaming to quitting, and so on - and in crazy amounts, it'll be 'bit hard to report all of 'em. ))

Leave that up to admins.

We shouldn't be basing the times on those who violate LSRP rules.

In LSP we are already dealing with problem that there are 1/2 prisoners who just can't be fucked to roleplay or simply refuse to roleplay and fuck around - thus ruin everyone's roleplay in prison. True that with this new law code we will get more prisoners in LSP, but this will also dramatically increase amount of those people who try to ruin our RP atmosphere.
Highering number of prisoners isn't equal to better RP in prison. :roll:
Well, we will see...

(( Report the ones that /quit to avoid LSP for major charges, most admins give out temporary bans for such an offence. ))

@guy who asked for a system;

no. If you'd look carefully, the bail is like the normal charge, but the time is lowered and the fine is multiplied. So, you can chose, money or time.

Amazing in my opinion. Great work, forks))
