THE POLITICS OF ART
By Nicole Parker | March 30th, 2020
Last night's event, a charity cocktail party, was hosted by the San Andreas Democratic Party. Corozzo said that he was not politically committed, but liked the idea of the San Andreas Democratic Party supporting culture and the arts, and decided to organize the event in coordination with them. The funds raised at the event will go to the elderly and infirm, and to children without parents, regardless of their skin color or nationality, says Senator Sanders. Some of the money, Corozzo says, will also go to support young street artists around the world. Corozzo says that he makes a profit from his gallery, but that profit is not his primary goal. Instead, he aims to encourage people to love the arts, and to promote the culture of this city and the state.
Senator Sanders also told us about the Democratic Party's future plans. This Democrats will focus on the situation around COViD-19, commenting on Secretary Cuevas' work on the issue, and claimed that that the Secretary is following the policies of Donald Trump - in his words, doing nothing about the situation. Sanders also said that he is happy to help individuals and business people like Thomas Corozzo, as well as not-so-popular street artists.
During last night's visit, SAN received a brief statement from a street artist who wished to remain anonymous. Much of the artist's work involves painting on walls and buildings, also known as graffiti. Many consider his work vandalism, but for him, his work is art. According to the artist, Corozzo helped him a lot in his personal life and promoted his work. Corozzo took him off the street and showed him a different view of the art world. Today, the street artist rarely paints on walls and buildings, but he paints much more often for Corozzo, who provided him with the means to do so.
