We welcome characters of any ethnicity or background within bounds of reason. Those who wish to join must prioritize realism and character development above all else. Recruitment is handled entirely in-character.

Due to the link between The Downtown Crew and The Valenti Crime Family, all aspiring members are required to agree to the Code of Conduct below which applies to both factions.

THE VALENTI CRIME FAMILY CODE OF CONDUCT

1. Compliance and Respecting Others
All current and aspiring faction members must follow all LSRP and TVCF rules at all times. Always treat others with respect both in-game and on the forums. Never seek conflict with others OOC and handle any concerns with others professionally and respectfully.

2. Role-play Standards
All current and aspiring faction members must role-play to the best of their abilities at all times. It is extremely important to role-play and develop a realistic character with no OOC motives in mind. Be responsible in terms of carrying out a reasonable amount of research when necessary (i.e. starting a racket) to ensure you are providing realistic role-play. Keep in-game PMs and OOC chat to an absolute minimum while role-playing to maximize immersion and role-play quality for all parties. Any communication between players within the faction must not pertain to IC events or anything that may interfere with/taint role-play.

3. Dedication and Alternative Accounts
All current and aspiring faction members must be dedicated to their character and by extension the faction. Our faction members are not allowed to play on alternative accounts outside of the faction under any circumstances.

4. Recruitment
All current and aspiring faction members must handle IC recruitment in a realistic manner. The process of building trust and integrating newcomers overall needs to reasonably mirror how this would realistically happen in the mafia; it is each individual's responsibility to contribute to this within the confines of their character. Allowing players a headstart in the faction through predetermining character relationships needs to be limited to rare exceptions in which the player is very capable and the relationship serves a meaningful purpose in your role-play. If you decide you would like to give someone this type of opportunity it must first be approved by Martin_Busato.

5. Screenshot Etiquette
All current and aspiring faction members must only post screenshots showing the faction in good light. How often anyone posts screenshots is up to their own discretion. Use good judgement when posting screenshots and avoid posting anything that may be metagamed intentionally or unintentionally. Keep a sense of mysteriousness around the role-play you document. Screenshots of scripted role-play or doctored role-play are forbidden; everything showcased must be true to role-play happening in-game.

6. Character Kill Agreement
All current and aspiring faction members must accept a CK if deemed necessary by TVCF leadership for any reason.
