THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF SAN ANDREAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
- Section 1. DEFINITIONS
- "San Andreas State Bar Association" or "State Bar Association" refers to the State's administrative arm, protecting the public by licensing and regulating attorneys.
- "Bar license" refers to the license issued by the State Bar Association to lawyers who achieve a passing score on the Bar Examination.
- "Bar Examination" is an examination administered by the State Bar Association.
- "Membership" refers to the status of an attorney admitted to the bar.
- "Attorney Oath" is the mandatory oath lawyers take before a bar license is issued by the State Bar Association.
- "Attorney Rules of Professional Conduct" refers to the handbook on rules for professional conduct by attorneys that lawyers sign before a bar license is issued by the State Bar Association.
- "License fee" refers to the one-off fee lawyers pay to the State Bar Association in order to take the Bar Examination.
- Section 2. PROPOSED CHANGES
- The San Andreas State Constitution, Article 1, Section I, Subsection 1 is amended to read:
The Government of San Andreas shall have the following State Agencies, responsible for various operations necessary for the well-being of the State:- The State of San Andreas Government (STATE or GOV)
- The Los Santos Police Department (LSPD)
- The Los Santos County Sheriff's Department (LSSD)
- The Los Santos Fire Department (LSFD)
- The San Andreas Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation (SADCR)
- The San Andreas Department of Justice (SADOJ or DOJ)
- The San Andreas Courts (JUSTICE)
- The San Andreas State Bar Association (SABAR)
- The San Andreas State Constitution, Article 1, Section IV, Subsection 1 is amended to read:
- The Government of San Andreas shall have a Judicial Branch composed of a State Supreme Court, a State Court of Appeals, State Superior Court responsible for the execution of just laws and legal arbitration, and a State Bar Association.
- The San Andreas State Constitution, Article 1, Section IV, Subsection 11 is drafted to read:
- The Chairperson of the State Bar Association shall be appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the State Senate.
- The San Andreas State Constitution, Article 1, Section IV, Subsection 12 is drafted to read:
- Associates of the State Bar Association shall be appointed by the Chairperson.
- The San Andreas State Constitution, The Addendum II. Jurisdictions, Section VIII is amended to read:
The Jurisdictions of the Courts of San Andreas shall be:- Property management rights for the State Courthouse.
- Right to manage, maintain, and control all warrant policies and warrant authorization agreements with State Agencies, including surveillance warrants and other specialty warrants.
- The power for a Associate Justice or Chief Justice to issue an injunction with appropriate legal justification, including district or gang.
- injunctions. This also includes injunctions and actions against State Agencies in a relevant court case.
- Collection of appropriate court fees as determined by the Supreme Court.
- The San Andreas State Constitution, The Addendum II. Jurisdictions, Section IX is drafted to read:
The Jurisdictions of the San Andreas State Bar Association shall be:- The power to regulate the admission of attorneys to practice law before the state court system.
- The power to revoke bar licenses and regulate attorney membership in the state.
- The power to investigate attorney misconduct in relation to the Attorney Oath and Attorney Rules Of Professional Conduct.
- Collection of appropriate license fees as determined by the State.
