THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF SAN ANDREAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. DEFINITIONS.
- "Significant business interest" means any financial interest of a covered State employee with a corporation, company, association, firm, partnership, proprietorship, or any other business entity.
- "Covered State employee" refers to an individual occupying a position in the San Andreas State Executive Branch.
- The covered State employee may not obligate or expend State funds with a covered significant business interest.
- State Government employees are prohibited from participating personally and substantially, on behalf of the State Government, in any particular matter in which he or she has a financial interest.
- State Government employees are prohibited from participating personally and substantially, on behalf of the State Government, in any particular matter in which their spouse, minor child, general partner has a financial interest, or an organization that has a financial interest in which he or she serves as an officer, trustee, partner or employee.
- State government employees are prohibited from participating personally and substantially, on behalf of the State Government, in any particular matter with persons or organizations with whom the employee is negotiating or has an arrangement concerning future employment.
- The State Government may not obligate or expend State funds with the Secretary of State, Lieutenant Governor, Governor, unless to expend State funds they are entitled to by law for discharging an official duty, including annual salary.
- Violators of Section 2.A., 2.B., 2.C, 2.D, or 2.E. shall be charged under this title with (4)23. Corruption Of Public Office, including circumstances in which;
- Whoever, being a covered State employee, uses or permits the use of his or her Government position or title or any authority associated with his public office in a manner that is intended to coerce or induce another person, including a subordinate, to provide any benefit, financial or otherwise, to himself or to a friend, relative, or person with whom the covered State employee is affiliated in a nongovernmental capacity.
- Title 4, Section 23 of the Penal Code is amended to read:
(4)23. Corruption Of Public Office ↑- A person who acts outside the interests of the public good, public justice, or duties of those in public office.
- A person who violates conflict-of-interest standards outlined in Section 2 of the Stop Waste And Abuse by the Secretary Act of 2020.
