It doesn't matter how much a M4 cost, it's your fault to use it in a way public area in broad daylight. There wouldn't be a problem if you'd use your M4 in a discreet and way safer way but no.. robberies and executions have to happen during daylight, on the busiest street for the stupidest reasons.

If people would be able to use their brain and to perhaps deal with this in a more realistic and better way, then you wouldn't have the problems of: But M4's cost 350K.

With the new Faction Management, the M4 and AK prices have been regulated so that they range between 30-45k; they are no longer expensive anyways.

I think that there was never a problem about illegal players and them using fully automatic weapons as long as they were used in situations which were just and not DM-oriented only, or situations involving the breach of server rules.

From a police role-player's perspective, we have many advantages over criminals still, even with the current M4 restrictions in place. The UPR has (recently) come into play, too, which enables a limited amount of people to utilize rifles - there are currently 28 people on the server (both PD and SD members included) who can deploy an M4 in any armed situation but that never happens unless there are automatic weapons involved or an overwhelming amount of shotguns and/or county rifles. I highly doubt an M4 will be deployed for a few desert eagles like it was back in the day.

It all comes down to common sense from both parties; criminals should use common sense when using an M4 or an AK-47 (not utilizing them in overly populated places and at a very wrong time of the day), and cops should take the proper measures to ensure that they can stay alive and fight fairly, with or without an M4. Police role-players can still win a situation if they use communication, distance and proper cover, but also wait for help to arrive - then again, it isn't about winning all the time.

I think anyone would do that rather than get 10 hours in scaf. Cops die and respawn, criminals will most likely go in for a long time especially if they're around with an m4.

I remember when AK's and M4's would go for hundred thousands, it was crazy. Deagles would also go for 90k.

All goes back to the economy, nobody gonna surrender to PDSD with an M4/AK, hell, even a shotgun, because PD dies and respawns with the same guns, we have a limited amount of everything, and plus we pay for it so yea

Now realted for the issue of the areport, why r u even complaining, I had a situation where i got sprayed at like 13PM servertime outside City Hall by 4 gangbangers that i said fuck off to earlier that week, and ofc they were using m4s rather then a dgl or semis bcs when u use the two theres a chance you wont hit the guy and he`ll survive with 20/40hp and PD wil catch on and you will lose the dgl, m4s is just a safer option

And of course, this is Los Santos the city where 3/5 guys ride with their buddies in an rental and if you say fuck off to em you gonna get sprayed downa, nekka

A few factions like Circle Town Brims and 46 actually enforced lower ranked guys to use Colts DGls Tecs etc. in drivebys and heavy guns were used by highranks when defending the turf/in all out wars, which was totally okay because we rped in a poor area

People complain that automatic guns are expensive as fuck and then use them on cops because they were giving their friend a ticket. It makes no sense at all, if you're gonna use your M4 because a cop was giving your friend a ticket and you died, don't complain at all, it was you that was stupid enough to waste your M4 on something so minor.

I remember when we'd lock topics like this and tell players to file a report rather complain about a unrealistic incident and blame everyone for having access to assault rifles.

How many times have cops shot unarmed suspects with assault rifles? Everyone lost their mind when a player posted PD unrealism topic , but it seems to be fine on bashing non law enforcement.

I guess nowadays cops should look at how the 2008-2011 cops dealt with this, bust back.

To answer this, LEO roleplayers are the vocal minority on the server, however, they are still backed by the staff team in most cases.

Getting a tiny amount of their advantages removed is a small part of turning LSRP into fair roleplay between criminals and LEOs alike. I'd say we're just closer to being on even ground.
