The Gypsy Joker Motorcycle Club (GJMC) (as the Gypsy Jokers as they go by in Australia) is an outlaw motorcycle club that was originally formed in San Fierro, San Andreas* on April Fool's Day, 1956. The GJMC are amongst the most notorious and violent motorcycle gangs in both the US and in Australia; they were prominently featured in Hunter Thompson's book Hell's Angels: The Strange and Terrible Saga of the Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs, in which they acknowledged as the second most powerful outlaw motorcycle club in the state of California, until they were forced out of the San Francisco Bay Area by the Hells Angels in 1967. The Gypsy Jokers relocated to Oregon and Washington that same year, taking up temporary residence in Lincoln City, Oregon. Since its founding, the club has spread over the globe and boasts approximately 35 chapters spread across the United States, Australia, Germany, Norway and South Africa.
*For story reasons the club was found in San Fierro, however the actual GJMC was found in San Francisco.
Australia
The GJMC has a high profile especially in Australia, in particular in the southern and western regions where they are numbered the most. Though the GJ of Australia are still riding hard, there have been a few reported incidents in the past decade.
In 2001, the Gypsy Jokers gained notoriety for a car bomb murder of ex-police officer Don Hanock. Several Gypsy Jokers reportedly stated the car bomb murder was in response to the severe beating of a fellow GJMC member at the hands of officers in Adelaide, South Australia on January 12, 2001. The member was supposedly pulled over and later beaten for refusing to remove his motorcycle helmet and sunglasses.
A Gypsy Joker was pulled over by the police for traffic violations on August 17, 2007. He was later charged with possession of a large sum of cash and several weapons, ranging from a loaded handgun to an extendable baton and capsicum spray.
In February 2008, police forced the Gypsy Jokers to dismantle its clubhouse fortifications, which including a concrete front wall, surveillance cameras and modified doors, in Perth, Western Australia. The club claimed the security was a necessity as they were situated in an area with particularly high burglary crime rates.
On March 5, 2009, Gypsy Jokers Dean Alan Adams and Peter Floyd Robinson were jailed under assault and battery charges in relation to a reported beating of Petera Heta Haimona outside the Cactus Club in Gosnells, Western Australia in May, 2007. The victim had been beaten severely with metal pipes and rushed to the emergency room. Less than two weeks later on March 17, another Gypsy Joker was charged with attempted murder, having shot and gravely wounded a rival MC member from the Newboys Gang and a former Hells Angel outside of the Gypsy Joker clubhouse in Adelaine, South Australia.
One of the most prominent reported incidents involving the Gypsy Jokers took place on May 19, 2009, when five five Gypsy Jokers were involved in a drug-related shoot-out with another gang in Perth, Western Australia. Two were wounded and taken to hospital, one of which was Club President Leonard Mark Kirby.
United States
In 2004, a Gypsy Joker clubhouse in Portland, Oregan was raided by the Portland Police Department. The wanted fellons, however, were not to be found in the club; in retaliation the GJMC took the PPD to court for $50,000 in damages caused to the establishment during the raid.
On April 10, 2008, four Gypsy Jokers were arrested for possesion of methampethamine, outside of their clubhouse in Kennewick, Washington. Several stolen property and weapons were seized from the premises.
On August 13, 2009, police in Nampa, Idaho with assistance of the FBI, pulled over and detained approximately 60 to 70 members of the GJMC just off exit 38 on interstate 84. They were searched, interrogated and photographed for future reference by law enforcement concerning gang affiliated activity.
In early 1976, nine Red County locals (amongst which some being Vietnam veterans) by the names of Douglas Anders, Victor Hansen, Arnold McMahon, Johnny Anders, Lester Smith, Adam Goodman, Johnny Holt, Vernon Ulrich and David Van Zandt formed a small local motorcycle club called "The Warband MC" in Palomino Creek. Within the first five years following their foundation, the club was not involved in any outlaw actions other than a few bar fights and occasional brawls. At the time the MC was mostly group of friends that enjoyed riding together and partaking in the occasional petty crime. However, in 1981 the Warband MC came in contact with the Gypsy Jokers during a motorcycle rally in San Fierro and before long the Warband MC began working with the Gypsy Jokers and dealt their methampethamine in Red County.
Unfortunately for the Warband MC, trouble soon arived in the form of the Angels of Death chapter in Dillimore and before long the Warband MC was on the loosing side of war. Unable to take on the Angels of Death themselves, the Warband MC patched-over to the Gypsy Jokers, whom came to their aide.
Now a part of the Gypsy Jokers, the former Warband MC was now part of a nationwide club and began to steadily take over the the methampethamine drug trade in the southern parts of Los Santos. However, the new Gypsy Jokers soon came to learn their riches and fame came with a price tag and soon they found themselves under close scrutiny of the Department of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF). In 1988, the chapter president, Douglas Anders and four other members were arrested by the AFT and sentenced to jail; their sentences ranged from 5 to 15 years for drug trafficking, possesion of firearms, murder, armed assault and various other crimes. Douglas' younger brother, Johnny "The Dude" Anders took over the chapter in a time of great opposition as their mother chapter in San Fierro was struggling in a war against the Angels of Death and soon they were forced to leave the city. The Palomino Creek chapter was now faced with two problems as the closest chapter was now in Tierra Robada, making it difficult to receive support against the Dilimore Angels of Death and the mounting pressure of the ATF made it difficult for them to make a living of their illegal operations.
The Palomino Creek chapter had no choice but to fly under the rader from the early '90s to early 2000, the same year in which John "Dusty" Kendrick had become the chapter president after former president Johny "The Dude" Anders died in a motorcycle accident. With Vernon Ulrich resigning as vice president in 2002 and young Dave "The Rave" Johnson succeeding him, the chapter was once again under the motivated leadership. By 2006, the Gypsy Jokers of Palomino Creek had retained their former power and reputation and even the Dilimore Angels of Death chapter with the backing of its sisters chapters had a tough time dealing with the Gypsy Jokers. In short, life was good for the Gypsy Jokers under Dusty, however, their return to power was brief as history repeated itself and six top tier members of the Gypsy Jokers, including president Dusty, vice president Dave the Rave and road captain James "Jester" Foreman were arrested by an ATF raid that same year. Up until their release in late July, 2010, the Gypsy Jokers had remained inactive and were once again reduced in size by the Dilimore Angels of Death.
However, after four years in prison, Dusty is determined to once and for all return the Gypsy Jokers of Palomino Creek to their former glory.

As it's already stated the above, this faction is based on its real life counter-part. The Gypsy Joker outlaw motorcycle club is a white-only motorcycle club, so we'll only recruit Caucasian characters. We also do not accept European immigrants, because it gets completely unrealistic after people start speaking foreign languages. To be a member of this faction, your character has to be a Caucasian-American driving a Freeway or Wayfarer. Our goal is to portray the American 1%er culture more realistic than ever have been done on LS-RP. This means, trying to join this faction with a 20 years old clean-cut character or having Jax Teller (or any other Sons of Anarchy character) as your avatar will not help you with joining.
