Extra health for the Quad

Well, it instantly smokes if you hit anything. I mean that might be cool in theory but lag hits, mistakes, small crashes all result in your Quad smoking instantly. Another two small hits results in black smoke. I'm talking like hitting the back of a car's bumper or something. I had to respawn my Quad five times in less than fifteen minutes and I'm a pretty decent driver. It's just the tiny, tiny hits that result in smoke.


Add an extra 200 - 300 health to the Quad please. At least try the Quad in-game and you'll immediately see that it needs extra health.

It's currently 700 health.
It smokes at 650 health.

The Quad is EXTREMELY sensitive to small hits.

I just tested something. A Sanchez has 710 health, a Quad has 700 health.

I REVERSED in to a house at about 2 mph and it took 8 - 11 HEALTH off of the Quad.
I REVERSED in to a house at about 2 mph and it took 0.02 HEALTH off of the Sanchez.

So they obviously shouldn't have the same health, the Quad needs at least 850 health due to the sensitive damage detector.

Both vehicles have different reverse speeds. Quads reverse faster than a Sanchez, hence the larger amount of damage taken.

This suggestion in general might be okay maybe, but I think it all revolves around the driver's care and there isn't a need to make a script adjustment for it. If you're driving around like a maniac and hitting everything in sight at crazy fast speeds, then of course you're Quad's going to take damage and start smoking. The same goes for the Sanchez. But if you actually drive like civilized human beings and avoid hitting anything, then your chances of taking damage will drastically decrease.

The thing is, the Quad is slow so it's not like you can drive like a maniac on it like a Sanchez.
I'm generally driving as safe as possible due to how quickly it smokes.

You can be the best driver on GTA SA:MP but it's the people around you that just run through intersections and slam in to you, lag pit you etc.

Also everyone's going to do a small hit here and there, just scraping a wall not hitting it takes 15 - 20 damage off of the Quad.

Here's a Youtube video below. A Sanchez will leave a Quad in its dust its that more powerful.
So putting them on the same line and doing a crash impact test, the Sanchez should smoke much quicker than the Quad because it's hitting the wall at a faster speed, correct? They're both identical in health. However it doesn't.

The Quad smokes instantly on a medium impact crash.

Isn't a Quad for beach or something...? Off-road? Not city...? I don't know.

I've actually experienced the same before when I drove on a Quad, once using it you need to be extremely cautious and it's really annoying. I think it would be nice if we could have additional 200HP or something along so it won't instantly smoke due to a slight bump. It'd be more friendly for usage instead of having it repaired every ten minutes.

Supporting this topic. ICLY me and my friends evade cops on Quads, and do wheelies, and it gets annoying when he come to a ALMOST COMPLETE stop, and it's smoking already. Mind you, we're not hitting the walls or poles hard when accidents happen.

A quad can be used any where really, you can also make a quad road legal by adding a number plate + mirrors etc.

It's annoying buying armour every time you spawn the Quad and it doesn't last.

The video I posted is too long, but if you just skip through it you'll see the Quad instantly smoking from one hit crashing in to my trailer at a low speed; there's basically no point in driving a Quad.

A Reliant Robin has better handling than a Quad also. So having low health + bad handling = a bad day.
