Photoshop script for decent screenshots

Post by F Sullivan » Mon Jul 04, 2016 8:34 pm

I don't know where the correct board for this is, but it's a simple Photoshop script I created, that achieves a pixel perfect stroke around your text. It current only supports a 1px stroke, but I'll update it soon. It's also not tested entirely and probably won't be. There's a version for both stroke sizes now, bugs will occur and I haven't had time to minimise any.

Usage

Take a screenshot of your roleplay with /blindfold. Use Photoshop and cut the background from the text with an appropriate method, and then run the script (File - Scripts - LSRP Stroke) with the text layer selected. The outcome should be an exact replica of what you'd see in-game.

Example

Image

Place the .jsx file in your Photoshop's directory of: Presets\Scripts

1px stroke - https://www.upload.ee/files/5941582/LSR ... e.jsx.html
2px stroke - https://www.upload.ee/files/5952006/LSR ... e.jsx.html

Very nice, it's annoying how you can't get it right with strokes or drop shadows.

I'll change a few things around tomorrow, merging the layers and offering a 2px stroke version'll be the top priority. As far as actually cutting the text out, http://forum.ls-rp.com/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=423343.

I remember that happening to me when I was using another method,
It is because of the stroke, you should place the text where you want it to be before you stroke.
