ac/dc are without a doubt one of my favourite bands of all time. these guys fucking rock and their songs are fun as hell to play along to on guitar. their live performances are the best

have you listened to their new album, Rock or Bust? i got it on vinyl when it was released and it is really good. ac/dc is one of those bands that get better and better with age.

malcolm young, one of the founding members, quit the band last year because of health problems, poor guy can't remember any of the chords or lyrics to any of ac/dc's songs. but even without him ac/dc continue writing solid albums and rocking

Sure, AC/DC's music sounds good and all, however what kind of annoys me with this band is that their music is kind of "too easy", you know? It's not a big deal to play the same power chords over and over again. The only thing that gives AC/DC some spice is Angus Young's amazing guitar solos, and in some songs the work on the bass is good.
AC/DC is not a bad band, it's fun to listen to and fun to play as well, it's just when you listen to a handful of their songs in a row, especially from around the same era, it all sounds the same; just raw power chords after another.
"
We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent. I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita; Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and, to impress him, takes on his multi-armed form and says, "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds." I suppose we all thought that, one way or another.
"

yeah i agree, their shit is easy to play like highway to hell which is just a few chords like A, D, G and E or back in black which is also just a few chords. but that doesn't mean they're not talented, hell, its their simplicity that makes them amazing. that makes ac/dc special because literally anyone can pick up a guitar and jam to their favourite ac/dc track. sometimes songs don't have to be incredibly difficult to be great. even though they use simple chords they've created some of the greatest guitar riffs in history like highway to hell, tnt, problem child, back in black and the list is endless.

other bands in rock history have also done this and been successful. some of the greatest and most popular songs ever written have just been 4 simple chords, e.g:

when i come around by green day
don't stop believing by journey
wherever you will go by the calling
let it be by the beatles
its my life by the bon jovi
dammit by blink 182
under the bridge by red hot chill peppers
africa by toto

but yes i do agree, with ac/dc a lot of their stuff starts sounding the same after a while, they lack diversity i think, idk which is why i prefer led zep. but still, their live performances fucking rock and they remain one of the best (live) bands in rock history

It is all quite sound a like simple stuff, but sometimes you're just in the mood for something simple.

They are one the greatest musicians of whole history. I'm fond of this music, so I know who is bad and who is the best
