With bordering enemy turfs surrounding Rollin' 30s East Grove Crip and still long-term rivalries within other various gang neighborhoods, the R30s EGC gang began actively participating in gang shootings. Crimes such as home invasion, assault, drug trafficking, grand-theft auto, and gang-related homicides have been increasing in Ganton by African-American gang-affiliated youth. Many residents say the gang has recently become popular due to the defunct of the notorious Hispanic 18 Street gang, and that the Rollin' 30s in the area are looking to claim new turf. The recent releases of convicted felons of the R30s gang is also a major factor of the gang's growing activity in East Ganton. Sheriffs are recording crime hot spots around Ganton, reports believe the gang is now operating between East Grove Street and Hyatt Park. The alleyways and secluded backyards of Ganton are no longer a walk through the park anymore, the small alleyways give the gang easy escape routes from LSPD and SASD law enforcement.
HUB CITY LOCSTERS
- In 2016, internal beef and different views broke the gang up into smaller clicks, the two notable ones being 27th Grove Street Baby Dukes and 39th Ave. Hyatt Park Ryders. The two clicks worked separately to an extent but when rivalries sprout with opposing gangs, the two clicks would work hand in hand, using their advantages of being small and mobile clicks to their advantage. Fading and crossed out hit-ups of the two clicks still haunt the rigid walls of East Ganton. The tight-knit group plays a minor role in the rising drug epidemic in Ganton which is a re-occurring problem for the police and the residents of the poverty-stricken area. The "dough boys" click continues to hustle on the streets and flaunts its success via social media.
