Open letter to Admins & Management

Post by IWearVNecks » Mon Mar 20, 2017 4:36 pm

As an admin of the server, What do you do to increase the RP and server updates?
  • The server has a lot of issues due to Economy ( Black Market Money for RL Money )
  • The abuse of OOC Mask
The list goes on but right now these are the two that bother me the most right now.

Admins are not really responsible for the updates, server functions such as OOC mask. It's more a question for Developers and managment. You may post your suggestions here, whenever the section opens. Staff team is currently checking on forwarded suggestions and I'm pretty sure there's multiple about OOC mask and the Economy.

If you are asking me though, I don't support OOC masks.

LSRP is a primarily player-driven server. I personally find that events are unnecessary when players are the ones who create organic roleplay themselves - I'd much prefer an organic riot organized by players than some event run by administration, at it involves players at a personal level.

We're always open for suggestions, too.

Bospy explained it perfectly. It should be the players themselves who should fix the problems that they have created. We as players are responsible for those issues and server management (Leads, Developers etc) will have a hard time knocking down on it as rules don't always work. An example of this being the IG for IRL money trades and such.

No one can really crack down on this IG money for IRL money, people will always find a way around it. It's just something you have to adapt to. If someone wants to go spend their real life money on some fake currency that'll really get them nothing, it's whatever in my books. It's no loss to me. As for the OOC masks, I think the rule is a bit lenient behind the whole "you don't have to show your ID to anyone" sort of thing. I do believe say if I want a description of the person and all he's doing is hiding behind an OOC /mask. He should either have to give me a detailed /me or unmask. I'm sure a lot of people would back that suggestion once suggestions open back up again. You should try your luck in there.

There's logs for such actions for trading IG for IRL money when someone trades X amount of dollars worth up to Millions.
Most of these users have zero RP interactions and for seeing these trades following up to zero interaction there it is right away. Second We as players should be responsible for the economy but the housing market is screwed due to people just giving whatever price due to people not having houses. The admin team and management should reinforce areas to a cap per house/apartments. If a house or apartments in Groove/Willow, etc be going for millions due to rare and wanted houses doesn't make sense. How do most of the players coming into the server regulate the prices of thing if there's no system for it? How come there isn't a tax system to reinforce these big payouts, selling houses and vehicles, Erase the limit for robbing someone who carries millions on them due to a savings account. Etc, etc, There's many things the management can do to fix issues but the fear of losing players who are here just to grind for money isn't a player base the server needs.

It is something that needs to be looked into, its like why couldn't the management do the same in donations ( X amount for X amount ) Because again it's something that breaks the game and the economy with the community doing it without any consequences. That's why P2W games fail even though money isn't anything big in the game is should play a big part.

When caught selling anything on LSRP for IRL money it should be a lifetime ban with no exceptions. I just checked and found out the people that got banned not last Christmas but the Christmas before who were involved in using their businesses to sell millions and got the casinos closed are now back in game. The casinos were an important part in funding the government, back when Frank Vaughn was the mayor. Years ago if you got caught even trying to do something like that you would be out for life.

Exactly, there's a few sites that do it and the management needs to do is the same thing a player would do buy it and receive the money ban instantly.

It's locked because they don't want to improve the server anymore. They reached the point where they can't do anything anymore. There's zero thrill out of doing it, the biggest thing that happened to the server while I was banned was the trucking system that revived the server and opened my eyes to the server again. Where's the next big thing that improves the server...?

Lol.

They were closed because of a backlog of suggestions, so, the dev team / management are going through them to make sure they all receive the response that people want. You may want to check this out.

Keep this on-topic.

Just gonna close this when the thread maker is someone who doesn't read announcements and speaks like they know all the facts when they clearly know nothing and simply want to cause a fuss. Have a read through the announcements and feel free to post constructively — don't expect to make threads like this when you don't take the time to read and learn.
