Los Santos Prison (LSP) sentences
Note: The maximum punishment you can receive in LSP is 10 hours and a $60,000 fine, however it can be exceeded slightly on judgement by a High Command officer of either the LSPD or SASD. So if the total time and fine is higher than 10 hours and $60,000 after the charges are tallied up, it will automatically be rounded off to 10 hours and $60,000.

Policies and Amendments
If a felony is committed in which someone is killed, everyone involved in that felony is charged for the murder. For example, in a gang war if someone is shot dead, anyone involved in the gang war arrested will be charged for armed murder.
Non-compliance during arrest allows an officer to increase your fine or time however he/she sees fit, however it must be reasonable. Conversely, complying with officers allows officers to reduce your fine and time.
Committing a violent offense against a government worker or emergency services heavily increases the time and fine you may have gotten if you have done it against a civilian.
Officers are only required to read rights if they have not witnessed your crime or do not have substantial evidence. In which case, they'll tell you the following:
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, alternate measures will be made.
If there is no substantial evidence against you, officers are allowed to hold you for a maximum period of 2 hours in LSP and 15 minutes in jail. In which case, you are entitled to a trial. Otherwise, you are not entitled to a trial.
Phone calls when arrested are up to the discretion of the arresting officer(s) or officer(s) in charge. Compliance will usually allow you to call someone. However, the availability of police manpower is a vital factor.
Visitation rights, either while in jail or LSP, is purely dependent on available police manpower at the time.

If you at any time fail to identify yourself truthfully to an officer during an arrest, he/she reserves full right to detain you in LSP indefinitely until you provide an actual name.
Times and fines are reasonably flexible. If you comply throughout an arrest, you may be issued a shorter time and a lower fine. If you resist however, you can expect a much harsher punishment.
