What defines Heavy Roleplay?

Post by Nata de Coco » Mon Mar 20, 2017 10:29 am

How does one player consider himself a Heavy RP'er? I just wanna garner some information about it because I'm curious. What should one develop?

I like to refer to myself as a "heavy roleplayer", I'm not one of those people who just RP to win, you know what i mean? I roleplay everything, waking up, brushing my teeth, sleeping, having a shower, eating etc. One day I even roleplayed by myself for a whole day, not because I was bored, but because I want to develop my character.

You must heavily immerse yourself into your character, adapt its thoughts, feelings, likes, dislikes, and then maybe you can be on my level, bud.

Got a feeling this is as troll thread, but the advice might help anyone who happens to read it:

Someone who takes the type to properly develop a character that is not simply an extension of their real-life self. What is your character's personality? What is your character's past? How would your character react in x circumstance? Add a level of detail to your role-play — don't simply perform an action, think about how it effects others and how your character would specifically carry that action out. Role-play mannerisms and habits specific to your character. It's all about adding depth to your character and considering how your character would act — not just being yourself.

Hello there! I am not here to post trollish threads. I am here to learn. Thanks for the info you gave. I want myself to be enriched about roleplay.
