Deputy Shot Dead by a Sniper

Three unidentified white males are suspected of carrying out a shooting on one of the area's local gangs. Two of the three individuals approached the scene on foot, whilst the third kept himself at distance. The duo opened fire on the opposing gang which caused them to retaliate. This resulted in an African-American female being caught in the crossfire.
The shootout started at 15:00, well before The San Andreas Sheriff's Department and Fire Department were alerted of the situation. They arrived shortly after 15:17. Deputies had caught one of the three suspects but were met with sniper shots, resulting in a deputy dying on scene. Due to ongoing investigations no names were disclosed, however the deputy was described as a hard working individual and a true friend.
Deputy Gonzalez from The San Andreas Sheriff's Department was one of the deputies who responded to the situation. When asked if it was possible this was a hate crime, she commented that, "Personally [she thought] yes, but [there is] no evidence." She added that one of the three had also escaped. The perimeter of the scene was closed whilst forensics were being conducted.
The situation was described as 'expected' by an elderly person who has been living in the area for the past 35 years. "Situations like these," the elder stated, "are usually expected. It's talked about, we hear about who doesn't like who."
The San Andreas Sheriffs Department have launched an investigation on the matter and are working alongside The Los Santos Police Department in an attempt to catch all three suspects.
