Breast Cancer Awareness!

It was Mother's Day but that didn't stop breast cancer awareness advocate, Ujin Jung, also known under the rap stage name "JinJin" who had an entourage of people driving pink vehicles to show how people can be effected by breast cancer. Ujin Jung promotes people to stand up against breast cancer by calling your local mechanic and getting them to paint your car pink to show your appreciation for all the proud women who survived or/and surviving through the disease.

Ujin's associate in the pink brigade is Aaliyah, her mother is a victim of breast cancer and had sadly passed a year ago. The women promote their cause through selling pink ribbons and have people spray paint their cars pink for charity. Pink ribbon day falls on 24 October, the pink ribbon merchandise hits shelves all over San Andreas' supermarkets and 24/7s. All of the donations will help fund breast cancer research and treatment.

Despite breast cancer awareness week being in October, the women have decided to celebrate it on mother's day for all the mothers out there who are currently suffering from breast cancer. According to breastcancer(dot)org, about 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime and your mother could be one of them!

Yung urges women to get their breasts tested through free breast cancer screening by oncologists at All Saints General Hospital or County General in Los Santos. Early stage breast cancer can be cured in most women. Breast cancer has sadly taken away some of the greatest women: Big Ang (Angela Raiola), Linda McCartney and legend Bette Davis.

We look forwards to taking part in more breast cancer awareness drives in the near future! Cancer does not discriminate, and can happen to anyone. Together, in raising awareness, we can strive towards more treatments, to make sure nobody has to suffer.

"A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles" - Christopher Reeve
