Hi,
I've been pretty occupied with work over the last couple of weeks so I haven't had a lot of time to work on any big projects; you'll have to excuse me for that! There are still some bigger features that I have in the works, but for the time being - I'm not throwing out any ETAs. Davis is making an effort to work on drug-related features at the moment, but unfortunately, the development process isn't very forgiving in the event of my unavailability - I'm trying to find ways to address that, but no luck so far though. This is only a minor revision, but I wanted to get one particular feature pushed out ASAP and as always, I like to touch base with the community a bit through these revision notes.
Persisting Admin Spawned Objects
I have added the ability for admin-spawned objects to permanently save and be loaded at each server restart. This means that we can tackle small "mapping" requests for players (like tables and chairs outside of restaurants, mats and dividers for nightclub queues, park benches, barriers and so on) as quickly as possible. These admin-spawned objects will not be wiped at a server restart and will stay until an administrator removes them. At present, lead administrators can use this command. You should see some things pop up around the map as days go by and this system is trialled; as always, let me know if you come across any issues.
New Furniture Objects
As per a forum suggestion, we have added a new list of objects to the furniture system: viewtopic.php?f=1565&t=655952&p=8316266#p8316266 - we're always open to suggestions for additional furniture objects to be added, so feel free to post yours up! Thanks to Surreal for helping implement them to the existing furniture list.
Body Bags for Legal Factions
Legal faction members are now able to spawn in body bags to aid immersion at scenes where characters have been killed. This isn't leading to anything more complicated at present but it should be a nice touch. These bodybags can be spawned through /roadblock.
Other
- The LSFD can now take Fire Extinguishers from their vehicles.
- A bug that was affecting the Find Street feature of San Andreas Maps has been addressed. You should be able to use it as normal by tomorrow evening (we have to manually mark streets again!).
