Coronado Pub
By Jaquan Breaux | Sep 11th, 2017
Image

Coronado Pub is a 60's/70's themed pub located at 681 Coronado Street, Las Colinas, right above Jefferson's train tunnel.
The pub is another company part of Volkov Enterprise, along Volkov Realty and Volkov Cabs, and more companies to follow according to mister Volkov.

Alongside of alcoholic beverages such as cocktails, spirits and American craft beer the pub also serves food to their customers, everything being made in their kitchen present in the Coronado Pub.
Their entire menus alongside other information such as their promotional video and contact information can be found on their website www.coronadopub.sa

I also took the time to conduct a short interview with mister Volkov about his pub.

Who are you and where are we located at?
I am Mister Volkov, Owner of Volkov Enterprises and we are located on top of the train's tunnel, here at Coronado Pub.
Los Santos Good oldies, right here.

Which companies fall under Volkov Enterprise?
We have Volkov Realty, Coronado Pub and Volkov Cabs.
Along with managing other businesses, prefer not to mention them since they doesn't fall under Volkov Enterprises yet.

What is the first floor being used for?
First floor is for staff and maybe VIP and friends.
The customers are only allowed on the ground floor, as that's where the action happens!

The stage where live performances are given by local talent during openings along several booths

The bar along with several booths, classic car being displayed in order to enchance the nostalgic feeling even further

The interior of the pub itself is rather nostalgic to myself, thus fully serving it's purpose, hence I give it a 5 out of 5 rating.
However the location (exterior) and parking abilities of the place aren't that great, you wouldn't have a hard time finding a spot to park at.

The service of the pub however is better than expected.
I got helped pretty quick by a lovely waiter whilst my purposes of my visit during the opening not being known.
The food was pretty tasty and not that expensive for it's quality, hence I give it a 4 out of 5.

Interior: ★★★★★
Exterior: ★★★☆☆
Prices: ★★★★
Service: ★★★★
Parking: ★★★☆☆

9/11 Memorial 2017
By Jaquan Breaux | September 12, 2017

Image

On September 11, 2001, at 8:45 a.m on a clear Tuesday morning, two planes, American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175, was crashed after a hijacking into the twin towers in New York City. This resulted in the death of all 98 passengers on the plane as well as the death of 2,606 others in or around the towers. At 9:37AM, American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon, the headquarters for the US Department of Defence. This crash resulted in the death of the 64 passengers on board as well as 125 people inside of the building.

The horrific attacks that occurred on 9/11 was the most brutal act of terrorism on earth, leaving approximately 2,996 people dead and over 6,000 injured. The attacks caused over $10 billion USD in damages to infrastructure and property damage.

The people of Los Santos came together at Verdant Bluffs outside the governor's estate for the yearly memorial where we remember the fallen.

Governor Larry Rauner giving a speech

''Our great nation.
Saw one of its most devestating days.
One that would shape the future of our great country...
And the our future generations...
For years to come.
Nearly three thousand people lost their lives that day...
And if we can take but one thing away from the harrowing events of September 11th, 2001...
It's that terrorism. Does not. Discriminate.
Whether you're black, white, or anything in between...
You are not exempt from the horror, and sheer barbarity, of such despicable acts ...
Our nation was shook the day the twin towers fell.
And sixteen years later, we are still feeling the effects... and the grief... of ... that tragic day.
Lets us forget also, the lives that were lost 11 years later.
On the anniversary of that harrowing day.
The four patriots who died in Benghazi.
At the hands of radical Islamic terrorism.
But let us come together now.
For unity is our only way forward.
We must never forget the events of September 11th.
And we must bounce back from such horror... stronger, and more united than before.''

Image
Assistant Sherrif Ezio Poldilotta sharing a few words

''Good evening fellow peace officers, fellow public servants. But most importantly, my fellow Americans.
We gather here on this somber September day to remember the near three thousand people who lost their loves during the heinous attack on the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001.
On this day, public servants of all creeds — paramedics, police officers, firefighters; men and women from all walks of life rushed into those towers to save a substantial amount of innocent lives.
May we remember them today.
Many people often reflect on the question: where were you on 9/11?
On September 11th, 2001, I was a patrol Sergeant working a squad car in the City of Los Santos.
I remember listening in horror to the radio as news poured in by the second.
I yearned for those lost. But I thanked God for those who had survived.
I'd like for you to reflect on the same question.. where were you?
Almost five hundred public servants were killed in the immediate aftermath of 9/11.
However, more and more continue to die to this day.
The effects of 9/11 still ring true as police officers, firefighters & paramedics continue to die from cancer and other illnesses related to their valiant efforts on that fateful day and the months of rescue and cleanup that followed.
I'd like to encourage all of you to keep those still suffering from these afflictions in your thoughts today.
The credo of law enforcement in our country has long been to protect & serve.
I believe that September 11th makes that statement ring truer than ever.. if not on that fateful day in 2001, every day we gather here yearly to remember those fallen... such is the American spirit.
While you're driving home tonight, think about all the people who gave their lives.
And those who are STILL giving their lives as a result of this tremendous day.
Thank you. And GOD BLESS AMERICA.''

Image
Fire Department Captain Aubrey Dawson speaking to the people

''Good evening everyone!
Today.. we stand united once again for those who have fallen on the 11th of September, 2001.
We are not only here to honour those whose lives were lost that day, but also for their families.
The families who never had the chance to give their loved ones a proper goodbye.
It's already been sixteen years, which can seem like quite a long time...
But I can't imagine how badly the wound left in the hearts of those who lost someone on that day still hurts.
We must not forget about the Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters, First Responders and VOLUNTEERS who chose to risk their lives to help others.
If it weren't for them, there would be much more families mourning over their lost spouses, brothers, sisters, children and parents.
We have no idea how their dreams and lives themselves would unfold, what ideas and inventions would they bring to the table.
We also have no idea what difference they could have mad e if they had a chance to do so.
Relationships ended, hearts have been shattered, but...
It made all of us stronger, united. We can all be very proud of that and I'm sure the families who suffered can be as well.
We have showed how much we can achieve when we come together for a greater cause.
This is the reason why we have to keep on reminding ourselves of what took place that day.
No matter what your nationality is, or what religion or race you belong to.
This has been an attack against all of us, not only a few chosen ones.
May God bless the city of Los Santos and all of its citizens.
And may God bless the United States of America.
Thank you.''
