The tickets are underestimated - if only the prices would be raised to ten or fives times the current prices, maybe people would start caring.
There are also lots of important laws missing which would make a huge difference in reality - for example driving a vehicle with the headlights off or driving a badly damaged vehicle.

In the previous Governor's Office, we declined to add the headlight rule or the damage rule due to how many stupid lag wrecks happen that cause damage without anyone's fault.FlowN wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2017 12:52 pmThe tickets are underestimated - if only the prices would be raised to ten or fives times the current prices, maybe people would start caring.

This still wasn't adressed, even though it should be. People are starting to use Flashes and FCR's, Sultans and Voodoo's to avoid the high performance charge.Crower wrote: ↑Sat Feb 25, 2017 11:52 pm(8)02. Eluding A Peace Officer ↑
A person who, while operating or being in a vehicle on land, sea, or in air, or while operating a bicycle, willfully flees or otherwise attempts to elude or avoid a pursuing peace officer who communicates visually or audibly their request to pull over or stop.
This charge does not include the attempt to flee and elude by foot, which is (4)12. Resisting a Peace Officer.
- Penal Code (8)02 is a felony punishable by no less than 120 minutes imprisonment and no more than 180 minutes imprisonment, and revocation of their drivers license for between twelve (12) and thirty-six (36) hours at the officer’s discretion.
- If the person evaded at any time through areas with dense foot traffic such as, but not limited to, Idlewood, Jefferson, Pershing Square, Market, or in any area designated as a school zone, they shall receive 180 minutes imprisonment.
- If the person evaded from a felony stop, they shall receive 180 minutes imprisonment.
- If the person evaded while operating high-performance or oversized motor-vehicle on land, they shall receive 240 minutes imprisonment. This enhancement only applies to vehicles categorized below:
High-Performance: Buffalo, Comet, Turismo, Bullet, Cheetah, Infernus, Banshee, ZR-350, Super GT, Phoenix, Jester, Elegy
Oversized: Linerunner, Roadtrain, Trashmaster, Bus, Coach, Packers, Flatbed
Why isn't the Flash and Sultan included under high performance? They still fall into that category, considering the Sultan is a sports sedan, and the flash is a tuner vehicle. They still fall under high-performance vehicles that can easily evade the PD/SD units.

How does an LEO go about getting the court fines imposed on people we arrest? I saw it mentioned earlier in the thread

Re: [Discussions / Questions] San Andreas Penal Code
You have to actually take them to Court (through the DA) as opposed to the arrest-then-prison method. The Court fines were added as a way to compensate the DA's office for taking the time to do a bunch of case prep and forum work involved with Court.

Re: [Discussions / Questions] San Andreas Penal Code
Most of the time it isn't even lag, it's just people driving recklessly and blaming the consequences of their actions on lag and we all know it. The visual damage also fixes itself in case the cause of the damage was the bad connection.MoralesLSRP wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2017 2:24 pmIn the previous Governor's Office, we declined to add the headlight rule or the damage rule due to how many stupid lag wrecks happen that cause damage without anyone's fault.
And about the ticket amounts, I strongly believe that if they were increased drastically people would start being more considerate on how they approach driving and maybe even read the road law.

Re: [Discussions / Questions] San Andreas Penal Code
This is one of the reasons the DOJ uses criminal fines so much. Nobody cares about jailtime, but people do care about their money. If you could be fined $750,000 for committing murder and a bunch of other felonies, on top of a 10-hour jail sentence, you might think twice about it. I believe the same would work for infractions, although I don't think infractions could be realistically raised in a way that actually deters repeat offenders.

Maybe not raising the amount of the fines but allowing law enforcers to issue more fines per road law incident. For example, if someone runs 2 intersections in a row, allow the law enforcer to issue 2 fines for that.

Re: [Discussions / Questions] San Andreas Penal Code
I got a suggestion :
Vehicular Endangerment should grant right for any LEO to suspend the license of the suspect. It's bad that when someone commits several serious traffic violation, and he just gets 15 minutes in jail, and exit without driver's license warnings suspension or fines.
And yes I think that the Failure to pay a fine's jail time should be considering the amount that the person owns to the state.

Technically that could be aggravated battery, because it is a "great use of force."

Could we get loitering added to the Penal Code? It's a valuable tool for Police to stop the selling of narcotics on corners.
