PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS is a last-man-standing shooter being developed with community feedback. Starting with nothing, players must fight to locate weapons and supplies in a battle to be the lone survivor. This realistic, high tension game is set on a massive 8x8 km island with a level of detail that showcases Unreal Engine 4’s capabilities.

PLAYERUNKNOWN aka Brendan Greene, is a pioneer of the Battle Royale genre. As the creator of the Battle Royale game-mode found in the ARMA series and H1Z1 : King of the Kill, Greene is co-developing the game with veteran team at Bluehole to create the most diverse and robust Battle Royale experience to date

Not Just a Game. This is BATTLE ROYALE

Looks to be a new-and-improved H1Z1, made by one of the original creators of that type of game mode.

Thoughts?

My only thought is I want a beta key right now because Farrell keeps sending me videos/showing me how great it is...

It looks a lot better than H1Z1, especially with the gun play.

Might have to pre-order this, looks dope. Can see this blowing up, especially for Twitch streamers.

I've got one closed beta key left in my set of keys since I pre-ordered.

I'll send you a PM.

Been playing it since pre-alpha and it's come a long way so far, extremely talented and active development team compared to the majority of other titles out there right now. Absolutely loving it so far, got my second win in the closed beta earlier. http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.c ... 27EB6EE0A/
Been getting alot of hype from the YouTube and Twitch communities too, everyone seems to be enjoying it.

Sick game. Has a good feel. It's a H1Z1 killer for me in terms of the actual feel of the game. You get that old "Arma/DayZ" feel, and it feels a lot more weighty. Gun play is more substantial and engaging. Weapon customization is great (swapping out sights, other accessories) and you don't sprint around knowing that you're gonna be a-OK like in H1Z1 where it's very light and arcadey. I've enjoyed the time I've spent queuing up with friends so far. Only thing they need to look at is optimization and all of that for the FPS, and then they've got a stellar game on their hands that's on the up and up.

Hit ya with the Beretta, you better stay down,
Stray shots on the playground,
Livin' how I'm livin' with the life that I'm given,
Anybody that’s ridin' with me, I’m ridin' with 'em,
Show me the enemy, and I'ma hit 'em,
The second I bit 'em, I get 'em,
And hit 'em with the venom.

Put it this way, closed beta began on the 24th of February and ends on the 19th of March, it's not a constant-play beta so in other words, they only run it on weekends. They've been doing it so they can sort through all the bugs throughout the week, fix whatever they know of, make improvements so it's a better experience for the weekend. Haven't came across anything game breaking in terms of bugs so it's not comparable imo, it's got a extremely active dev team.

It's nothing like H1Z1 right? Hate that you can just jump around, turn around on a dime and one shot someone due to lucky ass shots. Watched the trailer, looks like it has more of a tactical aspect to it, how's that working out?

It's definitely more tactical, while jumping kills are still a thing, they're pretty hard to actually hit. Just hurry that download up and try it for yourself.

Animations are good. ✓
Combat is fluid. ✓
Don't die to some bunny hopping moron. ✓
Can change shoulder view. ✓
3rd Person shooting actually works. ✓
